A native of the tiny village of Aghagallon in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, his 2016 release Let Bad In won a Northern Ireland Music Prize, and he’s racked up over 80 million streams on Spotify in a five-year indie career. One hundred and sixty million dollars over four years — it would be a shot in the arm for the Canadian music industry, to be sure.
