Saudade (August 2024)
On August 29 & 30, 2024, I was one of several musicians and actors involved in Saudade, a Mediterranean themed even produced by Pamela Blackwood-Marques. I performed during the musical interludes (with guitarist Joe Maio).
Piano in the Parlour (June 2024)
On June 10, 11 & 12, 2024, I was part of a multidisciplinary performance produced by Pamela Blackwood-Marques (Voices For Hire) called Midsummer Night’s Dreamscape. Scenes from Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream were performed in the front and back gardens of a private home (114 Herkimer, Hamilton, ON). I was one of several musicians providing entertainment between scenes.
Live on Local Radio (June 2024)
Above: A recording of my appearance on the live local radio show “Shake It Up” – which was originally broadcast live & livestreamed on June 21, 2024 at the Cat & Fiddle in Hamilton, ON (Canada). Host: Will Gillespie. (canucktunes-dot-ca)
Includes my original songs Looking for Heaven’s Ghost, Freight Train, Never Coming Home, Gangster’s Girlfriend, Cold + Blue, and Corporate Jive.

A variety cabaret show put together by me and Pamela Blackwood-Marques, with a line-up of comedians, musicians, and a dancer/choreographer.

Songwriter’s Open Circle
Since early 2023, I host a semiregular event I created called the Songwriter’s Open Circle & Lyric Party. It’s a kind of open mic for singer-songwriters, not only to play their original music, but to talk about their inspirations, and the songwriting process.
Each songwriter gets 15 to 20 minutes on stage to play, talk, and share works in progress.
From the first time out, it’s grown into an intimate afternoon to connect with songwriters, as well as for audience members to not only enjoy the music, but get an insight into the process. There have been many people for whom it was the first time they’d shared their work in front of a live audience, along with people whose performing history stretched back decades.
We’ve had singalongs, helped each other with lyric ideas, given feedback, had improv sessions, and former strangers have gotten together to perform each other’s work. In short, it’s been beautiful.
Because of the intimate nature of the event, I haven’t videotaped the participants, but here’s a look at my own sets from these events.
