COVID Lockdown Music/Video Project

The COVID-19 pandemic gave me the gift of time to upgrade my instrumental music skills and add flute and keyboards to my arsenal. It also led to some creative networking and videos to keep the flow of music alive.

Dundas Music Club (2022)

In 2022, I made a series of one-take videos, including original songs and covers, to participate in weekly Zoom versions of the Dundas Music Club (a songwriter’s open mic event).

I played this original song – Mission Bell – for the live version on May 25, 2022, and recorded it a few days later.
A cover of the classic Stormy Weather by Harold Arlen & Ted Koehler – I had a bit of fun with vintage filters. 🙂
A solo keyboard version of Light Of Day, a song I recorded with a full band on my EP Looking For Heaven’s Ghost
A solo version of my song So Strange – A COVID Cabaret Song
A cover of the vintage blues song The Hesitation Blues
A cover of Why Don’t You Do Right? by Kansas City Joe McCoy
A solo version of my song Corporate Jive
A cover of Nobody Knows You When You’re Down And Out
A solo version of my song Freight Train

Living Room Cabaret (2020/2021)

I’ve also made a few videos of the songs directly from my glamourous living room during the lockdown. 🙂

Winter Woollen Blues
So Strange (A COVID Cabaret Song)
